چکیده
This study highlights how the results from an artificial engine oil aging method compare to used samples collected a vehicle fleet. Additionally, this paper presents effect of contaminating during with synthetic fuel alternatives on physical and chemical properties artificially aged samples. A laboratory-scale thermo-oxidative experiment was conducted multiple commercially available formulated fully-synthetic SAE 0W-30 oil. The goal establish validity as well underlying process in reproducibly fabricating small batches comparable real-life oils. Effect of Compression Ratio on Emission of CI Engine using Neat Karanja Oil and Karanja Oil Methyl Ester Blends
The standard design parameters of a compression ignition engine fail to give specified performance with strait vegetable oil (SVO) from different origins. This study is performed to find the effect of compression ratio on emission characteristics such as carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbon (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and smoke opacity with all the tested fuels in a single cy...
متن کاملStabilisation of Engine Oil Contaminated Soil Using Cement Kiln Dust
The utilisation of industrial bi-products such as cement kiln dust (CKD) is of increasing importance as an option for stabilising contaminated sites due to its pozzolanic nature and also in view of minimising the environmental impact. The experimental programme was carried out in the present study to evaluate the efficacy of CKD as stabilising agent at different percentages 2%, 6%, and 14% (w/w...

Pilot plant studies were carried out to evaluate the feasibility of remediation of coal tarcontaminated soil and oil-contaminated gravel by incineration with environmentally acceptable performance. In addition to adequate decontamination and emission control, effort was devoted to treating the special feedstocks with difficult handling properties by use of conventional combustion and feeding sy...
متن کاملEngine Lubrication Oil Aeration
The lubrication system of an internal combustion engine serves many purposes. It lubricates moving parts, cools the engine, removes impurities, supports loads, and minimizes friction. The entrapment of air in the lubricating oil is called oil aeration. Oil aeration can be detrimental to internal combustion (IC) engines. This study attempts to determine a means to reduce the level of aeration in...
